If you welcome the arrival of spring by planning a city trip, the journey for your trip may not be as expensive as you think. As usual, there are a few important details to be aware of. The rates are offered via Eurostar SNAP, which offers last-minute tickets at low prices, but you must be flexible during your journey. Once you have logged in via Facebook, Twitter or your Eurostar account, you must choose between morning and afternoon trips before you receive a confirmation of the exact train only 48 hours before departure.
It is also worth noting that while the cheap seats are available on return journeys from Paris, Brussels and Lille, Eurostar does not currently carry out a direct return service from Rotterdam and Amsterdam, so the promotion is not available on return routes from the Dutch cities. Instead, passengers have to change trains in Brussels, where they then board a Eurostar connection to London. (The return journey takes about 5 hours and 17 minutes compared to the 3 hour and 55 minutes round trip). The tickets are only valid for travel from between 25 February and 28 March 2019but it is a good timing if you hope to visit Amsterdam during the beginning of the tulip season, which starts with the opening of the flower park in the nearby Keukenhof Gardens on 21 March. Eurostar passengers can also access 2 of 1 access to some of the best museums and attractions in each city, so it's worth keeping your ticket.
