I do not know how it is, but if I am going to invest in an incredible base, I want to know that if I rub that beautiful foundation over my face, it will melt like a dream. I have zero time (or patience) for brushstroke and lack when I format myself in the morning. To this day, the modest BeautyBlender has served me well, the pink, ovoid sponge succeeds in mixing my base easily and perfectly – even if I apply it at 7 o'clock in the morning while I am half asleep. That being said, I am always looking for new tools that help simplify my beauty routine. I am lazy, and when it comes to my make-up, I want it to look as good as possible – with as little effort as possible. So when I heard that Clarisonic was ready to launch a foundation brush that promised foundation to grow better than anything else, I was intrigued.
The brand is known for their oscillating cleaning brushes with super soft hairs that provide a deep cleansing, remove dirt, make-up and dead skin cells from the face. The new brush head (£ 32) is attached to the original cleaning brush (£ 185) and claims to "seamlessly apply foundation and concealers, achieving every contour of your face". According to the brand, "it saves time and product, non-porous hairs absorb less than a sponge, so you can achieve full coverage with less waste."
That all sounds damn beautiful to me – except the £ 217 combined price tag, obvs … But does it meet the hype (and costs)? As with all crazy but cool beauty products, we put the Clarisonic Foundation Brush to the test in our Beauty Lab YouTube series – which, if you're new to these parts, is where we put all kinds of great make-up, hair and care products on the camera. ** SIGN UP AT OUR NEW YOUTUBE CHANNEL **
