After Mary Kom, should Priyanka Chopra do another sports biopic?

Bollywood’s very own desi girl, Priyanka Chopra, has made a mark across the globe with her acting and singing talent. Her top-class act in Mary Kom is still fresh in our minds. The actress played the character of a boxer with so much finesse and sincerity that we can’t imagine any other actress playing that role. After spinning magic in Bollywood, the 35-year old actress also went on debut in Hollywood with Baywatch. PeeCee is currently busy with the 3rd season of her international television series, Quantico, in Italy.

As per the latest buzz, Malayalam filmmaker, Revathy S Varmha, who is gearing up to direct the biopic of popular athlete PT Usha is keen on casting PeeCee in the lead role. Revathy also quoted that Priyanka will remain her first choice. She also revealed that the film will require Chopra to go through extensive training for the prep of the character and she will need to dedicate almost a year for that. The director also mentioned that she understands the hectic schedule of the actress and that it will be difficult for Priyanka to give her dates. She also revealed that many actresses, including Sonam Kapoor, have shown interest to play the lead role. The film will be high on VFX and will have music by the maestro, AR Rahman. Revathy elaborated that the biopic will be made on a huge budget of around Rs 100 crore.
