Celebs and rappers adore Eminem’s freestyle takedown of Trump

Rappers, celebrities, and members of the media praised rapper Eminem after he unleashed a fiery four-and-a-half-minute freestyle takedown of President Trump.

In the video, which aired at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, listed off his qualms with Trump, from his handling of North Korea, NFL kneelers, and federal response to the devastation in Puerto Rico caused by Hurricane Maria.

“All of these horrible tragedies and he’s bored, would rather cause a Twitter storm with the Packers,” Eminem said.

The rapper also took aim at any of his fans who are also supporters of Trump, ending the video saying “fuck you,” and lifting his middle finger.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who got a shout out in a verse, said, “I appreciate you,” tagging Eminem on Twitter. Kaepernick is the player who started the national anthem kneeling controversy last season.

NBA star Lebron James also thought Eminem’s performance was “fire,” according to the emojis included in his tweet.

Fellow rapper J Cole dubbed Eminem a “rap god.”

Snoop Dogg contended that Eminem said some “real shit” in a video shared on social media.

Meanwhile T-Pain said “Protect Eminem at all cost.”

Comedian and daytime TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres tweeted that she loves Eminem, complete with a heat emoji.

Several journalists also showered Eminem with plaudits, including Keith Olbermann, who said he’s now an Eminem fan.
