the prosecution wants to send 12 suspects to the assizes

The prosecution has asked for the return to the assizes of twelve people suspected of being involved in the spectacular robbery, in October 2016 in Paris, of Kim Kardashian, whose jewelry has never been found, hooly News learned on Wednesday 3 June judicial sources and close to the case. With a booty of around 9 million euros, the group, described by the police as an old-fashioned gang of crooks, is suspected of having made the biggest robbery at the expense of an individual in the last twenty years in France.

18.88 carat stone

On the night of October 2 to 3, 2016, the American star, then 36, was robbed by five men in a discreet luxury hotel residence in Paris, where she came to attend Fashion Week. Two of the thieves had threatened her with a weapon on the temple, before tying her up, gagging her, and then locked her in the bathroom.

The robbers took several diamond and gold jewelry, including an 18.88-carat stone, valued at nearly four million euros.

Their alleged leader, Aomar Aït Khedache, says "Omar the old"told investigators that he had turned the diamond over to someone he did not reveal and that the gold jewelry had melted.

Trips to Antwerp, the capital of jewelry

The Paris public prosecutor's office requests that these five alleged robbers, now free under judicial supervision, be tried in particular for "Organized gang robbery with weapon", "Forcible confinement" and " conspiracy ", most often in recidivism, according to the judicial source.

The Crown also requests a trial for Marceau Baum-Gartner, alias "Grated nose", suspected of being the receiver of stolen goods, on eight occasions in two months in Antwerp, the capital of jewelry, including two with company"Omar the Old".

The threat of a trial is also becoming clearer for three relatives of"Omar the Old" : his son, suspected of having played the role of driver, his partner and one of his friends both accused of having participated in the organization of the coup.

The father of one of the robbers is at risk of being tried by their side for the illegal possession of weapons, and the latter two indicted for providing information to the gang.
