Hicks’ acting debut came at a young age, landing roles in commercials and minor television appearances. His big break arrived in 2002 with the Disney Channel movie “Lizzie McGuire.” He played a recurring character, Ethan Craft, Lizzie’s quirky and mischievous classmate.
